Hello from my cold corner of the world !

I am Brita, an artist from Northern Estonia with a passion for simple living, nature and all things creative. My dream has been to have my own art studio and a little cottage homestead by the countryside for years. Half of that dream is already coming true since buying a fixer upper cottage that we are now slowly renovating. But more about that in another future blog post.

It is funny how,,,

,, things come to you if you just let go of anxiety and fear of failure,, I guess that has been my biggest learning moment and motivation for starting a blog.

I tried to start a video blog on youtube in the beginning of the year, but after the first post I felt uneasy and too nervous to continue. I guess the first bite was too big for me to swallow, too many technical problems, not enough knowledge and not enough time to do things properly.

Creating long videos and telling stories turned excitement into crippling fear and the best decision for me was to press pause and give myself time to figure out what it really was I wanted to do and ho to properly share it all. The video blogging just wasn’t for me yet. Maybe someday I will find myself walking back to the road with more confidence and knowledge, but till then,

This little blog corner on my website seems like a good idea to start fresh. Taking smaller bites,, tipping my toes into the waters to see which rivers are right for me this moment.

I hope to share stories, inspirations and little process details of creating my artwork. Give a glimpse of our renovation process and life in the cottage and who knows maybe take you on small adventures into my favourite mystical nature spots of Estonia.

There are thousands of ideas bursting to get free,, to fly with the winds,, reach to the other wanderers and bring some inspiration to you as well.
